EIA PROCESS TRACKER

EIA Process Tracker

Natural Justice’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Initiative aims to provide an online resource center where community partners and the public in general can obtain a wide range of general but simplified and easily digestible information on EIAs that is necessary for enhancing their capacity to participate in environmental decision-making processes.

These include information on updates on all EIA processes for projects we are working on; publication of resources, guidelines and manuals on how communities can engage more effectively with the process and an opportunity for users to interact with the process by knowing how to draft and submit their views and comments on EIA study reports.

About Us

The EIA Tracker Initiative is a component of Natural Justice’s broader EIA Initiative. The goal of the EIA Tracker is to provide communities and the general public with regular updates on the progress of the projects we work on with community partners and relevant documentation necessary for participating in the EIA process. Depending on the environmental legal framework in different African countries, accessing project related information remains a challenge especially for marginalized communities.  Additionally, very few people understand the EIA process and are aware of the opportunities for participation as well as how they can submit their comments to the environmental regulator.
