Sophie joins Natural Justice as the Programme Manager for the Affirming Rights Programme. Sophie is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, holding an LL.B from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, a Postgraduate-Diploma from the Kenya School of Law and a Masters in International Relations (Foreign Policy and Diplomacy) from the United States International University-Africa. Before joining Natural Justice, Sophie worked with Namati’s Community Land Protection Program. She worked closely with different stakeholders (communities, like-minded organizations, and the government) to implement the Community Land Act effectively. As a trained lawyer, she is passionate about legally empowering communities to advocate for their rights and ensure inclusion and participation in addressing matters that affect them.
