Mercy is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a strong background in community development, environmental justice, and human rights advocacy. Her work is rooted in empowering marginalized communities through policy advocacy, awareness creation, strategic public interest litigation, and inclusive participation in governance of land and natural resources.
With a passion for environmental and social justice, Mercy has contributed significantly to advancing land and housing rights by supporting legal reforms and fostering participatory decision-making processes, particularly among Indigenous Peoples and local communities. She champions the integration of human rights-based approaches in natural resource management and policy implementation.
Mercy holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) degree from Moi University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. She enjoys creating digital content for advocacy and capacity building, to make rights-based work more engaging and relatable.
