Leopoldina Gouveia is a Programme Officer in the Affirming Rights programme at the Southern Africa Hub.
She joined Natural Justice in 2021 as a Legal Fellow, based in Mozambique, working under the Southern Africa Hub. In April 2024 she joined the Affirming Rights programme, reaffirming her commitment to human and environmental rights.
With a Master’s degree in Public Environmental Law from Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and a Bachelor of Law from Eduardo University, she has previously worked as legal consultant on two main projects: Environmental Impact Assessment Peer Review Regulation, Seeds Regulation and the Mozambican Strategy for Blue Economy.
Originally from the central city of Beira, she moved to Maputo and still resides in Mozambique.
