Gorgui Ka joined the Natural Justice team in October 2020 as a Community Environmental Legal Officer in the Dakar Hub.
Gorgui holds a Higher Diploma in System Administration and Computer Networks from the Institut Supérieur d’Enseignement Professionnel (ISEP) in Thiés. He also holds an MBA in Management and Project Management from the Institut Supérieur de Management (ISM) in the same city.
Mr. Ka worked for five years at the Conseil National de la Maison des Eleveurs du Sénégal (CNMDE) as a technical assistant. This position allowed him to participate in several activities related to the promotion and defence of the interests of pastoral communities in Senegal. Born in a village that suffered the consequences of pollution from a phosphate mining plant in the Mboro area, Gorgui soon became involved with his friends in a village association to denounce marine pollution in his village. This community involvement brought him into contact with several civil society organizations in the country; hence his commitment to the protection of the environment for the well-being of all.

Titulaire d’un Diplôme Supérieur en Administration Système et Réseaux Informatiques à l’Institut Supérieur d’Enseignement Professionnel (ISEP) de Thiés Gorgui détient aussi un MBA en Management et gestion des Projets qu’il obtient à l’Institut Supérieur de Management (ISM) de la même ville.
Monsieur Ka a travaillé pendant cinq ans au sein du Conseil National de la Maison des Eleveurs du Sénégal (CNMDE) en tant qu’assistant technique. L’occupation de ce poste l’a permis de participer à plusieurs activités liées à la promotion et à la défense des intérêts des communautés pastorales au Sénégal. Natif d’un village qui a subi les conséquences de la pollution d’une usine qui exploite le phosphate dans la zone de Mboro, Gorgui s’est très tôt engagé avec ses amis autour d’une association villageoise pour dénoncer la pollution marine dans son village. Cet engagement communautaire l’a permis d’être en contact avec plusieurs organisations de la société civile du pays d’où son engagement pour la protection de l’environnement pour le bien-être de tous.
