Ebere Iwuagwu Akwuebu joined Natural Justice in October 2023 as fellow in Nigeria. She is a lawyer, environmental advocate, research consultant and stakeholder relations facilitator. She works to enhance community environmental rights and awareness through advocacy and engagement, promote gender inclusivity, climate justice, and energy transition and climate change.

She has served as a coordinator/facilitator on various environmental research projects with international funding organizations such as European Commission (EC), the Heinrich Boll Stiftung Foundation (HBS), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the 4AID (Role UK), World Resources Institute (WRI) and the NDC Partnership (under the Climate Change Enhancement (CAEP) Programme.
She is passionate about protecting the rights of the marginalized groups particularly women and works to enhance knowledge on the impact climate change on their health, livelihood and human rights. And the development of people-led inclusive policies in governance. She brings over 10 years’ experience on community advocacy and engagement.
