Deon Bothma joined Natural Justice in April 2024 as Human Resources & Operations Manager, where he applies his extensive background in both the public and private sectors to support our mission of advancing environmental and human rights across Africa.
With a career spanning consulting, public administration, and private industry, Deon brings a wealth of experience to Natural Justice. He has held multiple key management positions, where he led successful HR strategies and operational initiatives. He also served as a part-time Labour Relations lecturer, where he taught courses on dispute resolution, employment law, and conflict management.
Currently completing his Master of Laws (LLM) in Labour Law, Deon is passionate about promoting equality and social justice. His dissertation focuses on substantive equality, reflecting his commitment to fair and inclusive practices. Deon is also pursuing an LLB degree to further his impact in HR, operations, and legal affairs. As an internationally accredited mediator, Deon is skilled in conflict resolution and negotiation, essential for fostering a positive and equitable work environment at Natural Justice.
Deon’s approach combines strategic HR management with a strong dedication to human rights, aiming to build a workplace culture that aligns with Natural Justice’s values of equity, justice, and mutual respect.
