Alois joined Natural Justice in 2021 as a Programme Officer for Affirming Rights, working in the Southern Africa Hub.
He has worked at the IUCN Environmental Law Center and United Nations – Environment and Human Security (UN Campus), both in Bonn, Germany. He has also worked at the Center for Water Security and Cooperation, an NPO based in Washington, USA. He is a member of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law and a nominated expert under the UNFCCC.
