Natural Justice is coordinating the Asia Regional Initiative on Biocultural Community Protocols (BCPs) in partnership with ETC-COMPAS, the League for Pastoral Peoples and Endogenous Livestock Development, and the United Nations University – Institute of Advanced Studies. The Initiative involves the following community-based organizations:

The project, supported financially by the Christensen Fund, shares the same overall aims as the African Initiative on BCPs. Through close collaboration between the project partners, the project will lead to communities developing and using BCPs to claim their biocultural rights. In doing so, we will refine the theory and practice of biocultural community protocols towards developing a good practice guide and contribute to the content of the BCP website. For more information about some of the experiences and lessons learned through this initiative, please visit the dedicated community protocols website. A film is being developed about the communities’ work to make the project’s focus accessible to a wide audience.
